Review: I bought a new HVAC system from A-Team. I deeply regret ever calling them.I was not present during the install, my family was.The brand-new HVAC did not even work. The air intake duct was twisted, torn apart and completely blocked the air intake. There was absolutely no air going through the HVAC system at all. The installers did not test the system. It was a weekend and A-Team was closed and so went to Home Depot, bought a new air duct, and installed it myself. $85 out of my pocket. The control panel was wired incorrectly, and the fan did not even turn on.The installers were asked to install my Nest thermostat. They were not able to do it. They said it was broken. It’s a brand new Nest thermostat. There was dirt and screws all over the place in my attic. Two panels of the siding on my house got damaged where the old “line set” was coming out. It was not necessary to touch the siding at all during install. The installers kept quiet about it and did not tell my family about the damage they caused. The cover for the new “line set” was too short, looks horrible with spray foam oozing out on both ends. The installers also broke a lightbulb in my attic. And again, they did not say anything to my family. The old pan overflow PVC pipe was simply broken off and left on the ground with sharp edges, instead of cutting it nicely. The new filter cover was not only bent horribly, it was also labeled incorrectly (25×20, instead of 16×20). Not knowing that I went to HomeDepot and bought new filters, only to discover later that the label is wrong. And there was another unnecessary trip to HomeDepot to return the wrong filters. The thermostat died already, after just a few months and needed to be replaced. There is a lot more I could add to this list, like things that the owner told me about his team, which was not in the slightest way shedding any good light at his company. He was trying to put the blame on his team in an attempt to brush of his responsibility towards a paying customer.I sent a complaint email to A-Team. The owner from A-Team and his installers separately came twice in an attempt to fix the problems. The installers did not solve any of the problems. On the first return visit, they had a rusty and too short cover in the truck. On the second return visit they cut off the spray foam on the bottom part, but not on the top. Pure laziness. The owner told me that the original installers have been let go and (in his last email) that they don’t have a job since then. What kind of condescending and completely unnecessary remark is that to a customer? I mean, if you let someone go, wish them well and don’t be happy about them not having a job anymore for months. The owner refused any responsibility for the damage his installers did to the siding. He said that those panels were already rotten. There was no damage to the siding. His installers caused the damage. Only after I sent an angry email, he agreed to send somebody and fix it. He also said that he now trained his installers how to treat siding. After 25 years in business, he only now does such training? The owner also offered me in his last email to replace the horrible looking “line set” cover with a good looking one of my choice… for an additional cost. So, A-Team installs a horrible bent metal sheet with spray foam oozing out and if I want something nice, I must pay for it after they already screwed the ugly thing on my house? But wait, there is more (NOT even funny):Their technician/salesperson who sold me the new HVAC showed me A-Team’s price list and told me that the “prices have recently changed”. He pulled out a pen and jacked up the prices, seemingly randomly by around $1000 for each system. A salesperson should never have to make up prices on the spot.I checked prices for HVAC systems only after I bought the new one. I could have gotten the exact same system for around $1500 less from a better company. I got taken advantage of by A-Team.I am mortified about the day when something breaks, and they must come back to fix it under warranty.

Review: This is the first Google review that I have ever left but because of how bad the service has been I just really want to warn others before spending thousands with this company to get work done. I have used this company multiple times over the past few years because the owner used to live in our neighborhood and he replaced the units on my house back in 2018 for the previous homeowners. Other neighbors also highly recommended them but every experience I have had with them has been bad to say the least. Most recently I called in because my power bill has more then doubled in the last 2 months at our house and the house is more energy efficient then it has ever been with all new windows, doors, insulated siding, and thermal radiant barrier installed in the attic last fall. When I called in I explained that I just wanted to have somebody come out and inspect everything to make sure I don’t have an issue causing my power bill to be so high. They send a tech out and he looked at the units inside then went outside and stood by the unit for a while on his phone then comes back in and tells me that he’s gonna have to charge me $300 for Freon because it’s 2lbs low but says that he’s not sure why it’s low because he doesn’t think I have a leak and didn’t mention anything about how that could or could not be causing my power bill to be so high which was the whole purpose of his visit. The office calls me a couple days later and I spoke with Rodney the owner on the phone and expressed my concerns. He goes on to tell me that if I was 2lbs low that there is definitely a leak and that he himself would come out to take a look the following day to make sure we figure out what’s going on. Well the next day Rodney did not show up but instead it was another tech who smelled like he had been out drinking all night the night before. He goes out to test the Freon because Rodney told me that if there was a leak that the Freon would be low again. He checks it and tells me that it’s not low on any Freon but he’s gonna go ahead and go look at the coil inside to check if there’s a leak. He stays down in the basement and about 30 mins later he says that my leak tester isn’t picking up much of anything but I think there may be a small leak and since it’s still under warranty I’m gonna go ahead and have us replace it anyways as if it would not cost me anything. A couple days later I get a call from the office scheduling the replacement with me for today and again the person on the phone said they would come out and replace it under warranty and never mentioned anything about a cost for me. Well the service techs get out this morning and before they start the replacement he goes on to tell me that it’s going to cost a little over 1k for them to complete the service today because the warranty covers the materials but not the labor. So now I’m having to come out of pocket over a thousand dollars to pay for something that both technicians told me wasn’t an issue. Overall the communication and professionalism is just terrible. I still have no idea why my power bill is so high which is the whole reason I had them out in the first place. They have lots of great reviews but I feel as if they take advantage of a lot of people without them knowing.

Review: I’m extremely happy with the customer service provided and the new HVAC system installed by A Team Services. I received quotes from 5 companies before deciding to go with A Team, their pricing was great and they didn’t use hard selling techniques like many of the other companies. Instead of just looking at my existing system and quoting exactly what was already there, A Team evaluated my needs and recommended a different size system better suited for the size of my condominium. I’m glad I was able to support a small, locally owned business. Thank you!
