From the beginning of this process speaking with the office I had great vibes and great customer service.I have engaged with 3 other companies before being referred to One Hour Heating by a friend, and this by far has been the best interaction.He knew exactly what the problem was, fixed a mistake the last company left, and recommended immediately what needed to happen moving forward. Review: Update:The owner took the time to read my review, talk to the tech about what happened, and call me. He was very apologetic about what happened and seemed to not agree with the original, errant diagnosis. I explained that I appreciate the call and that a bad diagnosis will happen from time to time in troubleshooting, but this one was just so out of left field I had to look elsewhere.After explaining that I also pretty frustrated by the “level 1 inspection” that was charged to me after it had already been done, the owner said that was not supposed to happen and volunteered to refund the full amount of the entire visit.I tried to compromise with him as I still see the $89 visit fee as a fair charge, but he insisted on refunding the full amount.I believe the owner cares about his business having a good reputation and does the work to make that happen. Even though I had a bad experience I believe it has more to do with this particular tech and not necessarily with the business as a whole.——————————————————————————————–I called out 1 hour heating and air on Dec 10th to check out a bad defrost cycle as my outside coils were icing up. I had been able to force the defrost cycle which turned off the fan, but no defrost was actually happening which led me to suspect a bad reverser valve or defrost board.They came out and quoted me 3k for a compressor or 8k for a new system – the system is a 2.5 ton and is 7 years old; it was actively heating the house, it was just getting excessive ice build up. I’m not expert on these systems, but that didn’t sound right to me at all. They also charged me $326 for the visit and a “level 1 inspection”.So I called out another company that correctly diagnosed a bad defrost board, replaced it, and showed me proof of it working in defrost mode all for just over 300 bucks.I absolutely do not recommend this company. They probably have good techs, but it is up to the individual to want to give an honest assessment and not try to get every dollar out of you that they can.

Review: Lane and team did such a great job in a timely manner. They explained the new system/ thermostat fully and were super cautious about not letting the cats escape as they went in and out to the crawl space. The entire communication process with One hour was flawless – which was so appreciated, because the old furnace gave out over the Christmas holiday .
